Hello 2015. After an exciting 2014 I am sure you have big plans for this year. Your budget is done and so far you seem to be on track. Optimism is high and your dream chart is loaded with rewards for this year. Good.
That is important because everything starts with the way you think. Because you are what you think and you do what you are. So with our formula of BE x DO = HAVE you can see how important your thoughts are.
So what are you plans for the year? I like to picture a three legged stool with the seat being the experiences we want from life. Those experiences are supported by one leg dedicated to health, a second leg dedicated to relationships and a third leg dedicated to financial. I then build goals around all three legs to support the experiences I want for 2015.
Some great quotes to get you thinking the right way and then three books to get your year off on the right foot. First the quotes:
- Never wish your job were easier, wish you were better. Jim Rohn
- The greatest danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim to high and falling short but in setting our aim low and achieving our mark. Michaelangelo
- Any enterprise is built by wise planning, becomes strong through common sense, and profits by wonderfully keeping abreast of the facts. Unknown but I think it is the Bible
And how for three books to read by Valentines Day:
- Think and Grow Rich
- How to Make Friends and Influence People
- The Compound Effect
It all begins with what we feed our mind, the people we surround ourselves with and the environment we thrive in. Take a look at those three items and make sure they are all positive. As my friend Steve Leach told me (you might want to jot this down) “it is what you say to yourself about yourself when you are buy yourself” that is important. It’s that chat at 3:13 in the morning when you are lying in bed that will have a greater impact on 2015 than any marketing plan.
